Agent Envy's Badass Single 'No Friend'
Agent Envy is an artist and producer based in San Diego. She is inspired by artists such as PVRIS, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, St. Vincent, and Metric. These influences are shown throughout her discography. Agent Envy's biggest influences are from retro-futuristic 80s and 90s movies, as well as film scoring. Music has always been a huge passion of hers. She has been playing piano, guitar, and has done other music things her whole life such as theater.
Her newest single, released December 9th is a dark, energetic, and magnetic song titled 'No Friend.' The track starts with sultry but mellow vocals. About a minute into the song, you're hit with a hypnotizing chorus full of melodic guitar playing and thunderous drums. 'No Friend' is a single that says "enough is enough." The lyrics are unsympathetic in their delivery, and rightfully so. The track is perfectly fierce and for anyone who enjoys an unremorseful rock melody, 'No Friend' is that song.
