BLACKPINK is in Your Area with Latest Album Drop Born Pink

After what feels like forever Blackpink has released their highly anticipated second studio album Born Pink! The album consists of eight songs in total, ranging from hip-hop, pop, rock, classical, and even disco. Starting off with a new style for them “Pink Venom” was a pre-release title track. The song starts off with a traditional Korean instrument the ‘geomungo’ or ‘black zither’ while chanting ‘Blackpink.’ It quickly transitions into powerful rapping by Jennie that captivates you and prepares you for a wonderful ride.

Amassing impressive numbers within just 24 hours of its release including the music video scoring both the biggest 24-hour music video debut of 2022 and the third-largest 24-hour music video debut of all time. With an astounding 90 million views within the first 24 hours of its release, “Pink Venom” is Blackpinks’ biggest music video debut ever.

The song “Ready For Love” was also a pre-release in collaboration with battle royale video game PUBG mobile exclusively, with a pop feel, catchy chorus, and an animated music video on Youtube on July 29, 2022.

My personal favorite song on their album “The Happiest Girl," starts with a soft piano and heart-wrenching vocals. A wonderful ballad, with all the members' vocal abilities shining, is sure to make you emotional. “Hard to love” the only solo featured on the album by Rosé with her enchanting yet haunting vocals paired with an electric guitar throughout the song making you feel the need to dance.

Born Pink was released in three different formats— a box set, a kit album, and a vinyl record, as well as a digital download. BlackPink continues to impress us as one of the most well-known girl groups in the world, starting from their initial debut album Square One in August 2016 all the way to their latest album in September of 2022 Born Pink.

I know they have so much more in store for us in the coming months including their recently released world tour dates!
