Easton Union and Bethany Joy at CODA

On October 07, Bethany Joy Band and Easton Union performed at CODA in Cleveland, Ohio.

CODA is an intimate speakeasy-style music venue in Tremont, a neighborhood of Cleveland, OH. It was an excellent environment to enjoy both the Bethany Joy Band and Easton Union performances.

Bethany Joy is a Cleveland, Ohio-based indie jazz/soul singer-songwriter. She released her first full-length album, PLANET, this month. My favorite song is "Reel Life." Her band features Anthony Papaleo on guitar, Daniel Socha on bass, and Tuck Mindrum on drums.

Bethany works with Roots Of American Music, a non-profit that integrates music and education in Northeast Ohio. On November 9th, she performs as part of the Lift Their Voices program at the Bop Stop. The next full band show is November 26th at Musica in Akron, Ohio where they are opening for Coup De Grace.

Easton Union is a roots rock/alt-country group from Akron, Ohio. They released their self-titled EP in May of 2022. The band comprises Kurt Anshutz on bass, Ty Prager on guitar & vocals, Nick Hoffman on drums, Brian Patrick on lead guitar & vocals, and Rusty Garrett on keys. Together, this five-piece blends powerful lyrics and melodies with a beat sure to make you get up and dance! I sure did, and I wasn’t the only one twirling around on the dance floor!

They have shows on November 5th at Spoon in Wooster and November 26th at Blue Tip BBQ in Wadsworth.

Give both of these awesome groups a follow on social media to stay up to date on their upcoming shows!
