Flipturn was given a warm welcome at Louisville’s local bar, arcade, and music venue combo at Zanzabar. This show was one of the last few for leg 1 of their Shadowglow Tour, promoting their new album Shadowglow which is about the uncertainty that comes with growing up. They kicked it off - literally - to "The Fall" and continued the night playing songs "Sad Disco," "Goddamn," and "Brooklyn Baby" from Shadowglow. Flipturn finished the night with crowd-favorite "August."
The packed bar couldn’t contain the energy on stage and in the crowd. Lead singer Dillon Basse emotionally lead the crowd while drummer Devon VonBalson who gave everything he had into the set. He even engaged the crowd in a mini drum island! At the beginning of the show, Dillion and Madeline Jarman (bass guitarist) kicked up their feet to the beat of the song, inspiring the design of one of the t-shirts on sale at the merch table.
If you missed out, don’t worry Shadowglow Tour continues in February 2023. Follow them on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Spotify to stay up to date!
