Lyse Releases 'santa, please' an Emotional Ballad to End 2023 With
Lyse is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter based in Florida. Lyse's musical inspirations range from The Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Norah Jones, Jimmy Eat World, and Coldplay. Music has always been an important part of her life, which sparked her desire to create music. Lyse taught herself how to produce at home, and is releasing her work on all streaming platforms.
Her newest single is 'santa, please,' a heart-pulling ballad that is a must-listen during the holidays. The song was sparked by random inspiration late in December. Instead of letting the late release date discourage her, she decided to release the single anyways on December 20th, just in time for Christmas.
'santa, please' starts with a tender acoustic guitar, and warm vocals. The bass guitar adds a dreamy texture, and the percussion adds a gentle element to 'santa, please.' The lyrics are a plea to Santa, to please bring a love for this Christmas. "Please bring me, my love, tonight. Hopefully, on this Christmas Eve, I'll dream tonight and let it. But Santa, would you bring me the one I love? That's all I want." Like many Christmas movies and songs, the song follows the idea of just wanting to spend time with someone you love during the holidays.
