Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela is on tour celebrating the release of their latest album, In Between Thoughts... A New World. They delivered a show-stopping performance at the Chevalier Theatre in Medford, Massachusetts on June 29th!
Grammy award-winning duo Rodrigo y Gabriela gave Boston a night to remember with an electrifying set on Thursday as part of their In Between Thoughts... A New World 2023 world tour. The show was opened by Kenyan singer-songwriter Ondara-- standing alone onstage with his acoustic guitar in hand, his smooth, bluesy vocals filled the entire theatre, captivating the audience. Soon after, Rodrigo y Gabriela took the stage, playing a set including old and new tracks alike. Weaving in influences that range from Spanish flamenco to heavy metal and evoking emotions from happiness to heartbreak purely through instrumentals, the duo's sheer talent and mastery over the guitar is undeniable. Though the pair decided to end their romantic relationship over a decade ago, their performance in Boston demonstrated that Rodrigo y Gabriela's musical chemistry and synergy on stage are stronger than ever.
